What to expect?
Julia or Mike will be thrilled to welcome you to our studio and help you begin your Pilates journey, guiding you towards strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. We understand that starting something new can be daunting, especially when it comes to unfamiliar equipment, but rest assured, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Personalized Assessment: To kickstart your journey, we'll take the time to understand your history, fitness level, and goals. Through a 10-15 minute assessment, we'll gather all the necessary information to tailor your Pilates experience to suit your individual needs
Introduction to Fundamentals: Your first class will begin with an introduction to the fundamental principles of Pilates on the mat. You'll learn the basics of core engagement, alignment, and breath control, laying the groundwork for your Pilates practice.
Introduction to the Equipment: Before the class begins, your instructor will provide a brief orientation to the Pilates equipment. They'll explain how each piece works and demonstrate proper use, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident.
Personalised Attention: Your instructor will provide personalised attention throughout your session, offering modifications and adjustments as needed, to ensure that the exercises are safe and effective for you. We prioritise your comfort and wellbeing every step of the way.
What to wear: Clothing that is comfortable to move in and a fresh pair of socks. If you have grippy Pilates/Yoga socks then definitely bring them along as that can create a better grip on the equipment but they are not essential. You can always add them to your Christmas list!
What should I bring: Just yourself and water bottle.
We hope to see you in the studio and be part of your Pilates journey.
