Julia Pietersma

Founder | Women’s Health & Postnatal Specialist

Julia is originally from South Africa and has been practicing Pilates for over 16 years. She has a degree in Human Movement Science and became a fully qualified BASI instructor in 2010.

She later became a BASI faculty member, teaching students to become instructors.

Julia is fully qualified in pre and postnatal care. After having her daughter, she recognised the lack of support for women during postpartum recovery.

She is passionate about helping women regain their strength, confidence and connection to their bodies.

Mike Scott

Strength & Rehabilitation Specialist

Mike has a background as a sportsman and fitness instructor, with a strong understanding of the body and how to get the most efficient results from training and rehabilitation.

He brings a supportive and motivating approach to his teaching, helping clients feel challenged while still feeling comfortable and confident.

His experience across sport, fitness and Pilates allows him to work with a wide range of clients and goals.

Michelle Darracott

Posture & Movement Specialist

Michelle has always kept very active and developed a passion for movement through years of training and competition.

She discovered Pilates as a way to improve posture, alignment and overall strength, and went on to complete her BASI Comprehensive Teacher Training.

Michelle enjoys helping clients build strength, improve movement and work towards their individual goals in a supportive environment.

Avan Haider

Pilates Instructor | Movement Specialist

 

Avan found her passion for Pilates over 3 years ago while working in a corporate role in Manchester. Always craving movement, she finally found that connection through Pilates.

After spending a year in Morocco, she returned to the UK to turn her passion into a career and completed the BASI (Body Arts and Science International) Comprehensive Programme.

Avan’s vision is to create a positive space where people can connect with themselves, feel more confident and enjoy movement.

Bedia Guvenilir

Pilates Instructor | Movement Specialist

Bedia discovered Pilates as a way to stay active, strengthen her muscles and maintain flexibility while managing scoliosis. It became essential in helping her restore balance in her body.

Through Pilates, her quality of life significantly improved, allowing her to live without back pain or other scoliosis-related issues.

She holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering and previously worked in the pharmaceutical sector as a Production Engineer and Quality Assurance Specialist. Over time, her passion for Pilates grew, leading her to turn it into her primary profession.

Bedia is a BASI Pilates Comprehensive graduate and enjoys teaching 1:1 and 2:1 sessions with a strong focus on detail and individual needs.

Outside of Pilates, she has a love for music and enjoys both singing and playing the guitar.
